Fast Property is the father-daughter team of Bob and Amy Fast. Previously, as a part of the Cardinal Group of Companies, they developed a variety of projects from 2006-2019.

Bob Fast purchased Cardinal Concrete in 1973 after moving to Squamish from the Fraser Valley, where he had been working on his family dairy farm. Not interested in life as a dairy farmer, Bob had moved to Squamish after hearing about all the career opportunities – he was just 24 years old. Seven years later, his daughter Amy came along.

In 1994 Bob started Coast Aggregates, which took over the lease of a gravel quarry along the Mamquam River. Concrete requires sand and gravel, and this new company would make sure that Cardinal Concrete always had a quality, local source of material. Around this same time Amy started her first summer job weighing gravel trucks in the Coast Aggregates quarry; it was her first taste of the family business.

Time went by, and after living abroad for almost two years, Amy completed her Bachelor of Business Administration at Capilano University at the end of 2007. She moved back to Squamish for what she thought would be a short stop over in the family business, but several years later it’s safe to say she’s put down roots back in her home town.

Both Bob and Amy have been active volunteers in the community for several years. Bob as a long time member of the Squamish Rotary Club and Amy as a key member of the Squamish Days Loggers Sports Festival Committee. They both find a lot of joy in giving back and getting involved in what the community has to offer.

Now with their development company, they work together to bring projects, both light-industrial and residential, to life. To learn more, visit the Projects page.
