Fast Property Ltd. is a family-owned development company led by father-and-daughter team Bob and Amy Fast. Together, they bring decades of experience in construction, aggregates, and land development, having successfully delivered a variety of residential and light-industrial projects between 2006 and 2019 as part of the Cardinal Group of Companies.

Bob’s journey began in 1973 when, at just 24 years old, he moved to Squamish from the Fraser Valley, where he had been working on his family’s dairy farm. Drawn by the opportunities in the growing community, he purchased Cardinal Concrete and laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong commitment to building in Squamish.

In 1994, Bob founded Coast Aggregates, taking over the lease of a gravel quarry along the Mamquam River. The new company ensured Cardinal Concrete had a reliable, high-quality local source of sand and gravel while expanding the family’s presence in the construction industry. Around the same time, Amy got her first taste of the family business, spending summers weighing gravel trucks at the quarry.

After living abroad for nearly two years, Amy completed her Bachelor of Business Administration at Capilano University in 2007. She returned to Squamish intending to spend a short time working in the family business, but quickly discovered a passion for development and entrepreneurship. What was meant to be temporary became a long-term career, rooted in the community she has always called home.

Giving back has always been an important part of the Fast family’s values. Bob has been a dedicated member of the Squamish Rotary Club for many years, while Amy has volunteered extensively with the Squamish Days Loggers Sports Festival Committee and numerous local community initiatives. Their commitment to Squamish extends beyond development—they believe in helping build a vibrant, connected community.

Today, through Fast Property, Bob and Amy continue to develop thoughtful residential and light-industrial projects that contribute to Squamish’s long-term growth. Their focus is on creating lasting value through quality developments, strong relationships, and a deep understanding of the community they proudly call home.
